Someone is forging my name and cashing my paychecks!!!!

I just noticed that I havent recieved a paycheck in about 4 weeks so I get mad and call up the company in charge of that business. They tell me that checks HAVE been written out to me and were mailed out of their office at regular dates but I havent recieved any of them! So I just tell them to put stop payments on all four of those checks and just hand me new ones since maybe they all got lost in the mail or they sent them to the wrong address or something. So they say OK and the next morning I head down there to see whats up and they tell me that all four of my paychecks HAVE BEEN CASHED! Im like WTF and am now starting to get real mad cos thats about $1800 worth of pay!! They are now requesting images of the checks so I can check the signature to see if its mine (which it is not gonna be) and then I get to fill out the forgery papers and blah blah blah. Goddamnit!! Anyone had this happen to them or one of their friends and can tell me how long until I get my damn money. I just bought a new Garrett turbo for $2800 and if I dont get this money soon I'm gonna be strugglin to even get food!!! Plz help with advice or similar situations and how they turned out. I wish I knew who this fuck was so I could WHOOP HIS ASS! :eek5:

Well today is my last day at work (I go back to school tomorrow afternoon and this was just an internship) so it doesnt really matter anymore except for my $1800 worth of lost pay :angry2:

identity theft.. sounds like someone got a "change of address" request form from the post office.. that will let them get your mail delivered to somewhere else.. then oh joy oh joy.. they received your checks.. and sure they are gonna cash them.. that's their scam.. welcome to the new era.. direct deposit is best.. or have your checks hand delivered by your boss/supervisor.. mail sucks.. unless you have a locked mailbox.. even then.. it's not 100% safe..

yeah dont know what to tell you... but I have a friend who just requested a copy of her credit report and found out there are 2 people claiming to be her... one in so cal and one on the east coast... pretty scary to think about, but doubt anyone is gonna try to steal my identity since i have such bad credit anyways hahaha. -Ninja

Go down to the police station and file a report. That's 4 counts of theft right there. When you get images of the checks, you can find out where they were deposited and possibley find out who did it ($1800 might actually make it felony theft...... I dunno). But definitely file a police report.

damn every paycheck I've ever gotten was from either you pick it up from the boss, direct deposit or pick it up from the cashier. Yeh good luck to u man, if not buy alot alot of cup o noodles or top ramean for a Quarter or semester and maybe try to bum off your friends food cards.........

i have my direct deposit stubs mailed to me here at home and a few weeks ago my land lord came by and said she had some mail for me and that it was a check. so i was like ok but she did not have it with her. she brought it by later and it was open!!!!!! i guess it went into someone elses mailbox here. i kind of wonder if it was a check if it would have been cashed by one of my neighbors who opened it!!!! fuckin people suck and not to mention a pay check stub is kinda personal ya know. these low lifes out here dont need to know how much money i make.

sigh i will be so flippin happy when i move from this place. soon very soon.

yeah i would surely file a police report and nail those mofos. its as though they took it out of your wallet i hate thieves fuck them crucify them.
