The question is... why is the person with the 240 selling it? It could be he's in the same boat as me (I'm selling my 1995 MX6 - FWD) and needs the money and has no use for the vehicle, or maybe the head or block is cracked, or a bearing seal went, and the vehicle isn't worth it's weight in lead. The general rule of thumb is if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is and I'd bet that there's alot of people here who'd agree with that statement (might not be true in this case, but always keep that in the back of your mind).
Just trying to make sure you don't jump into a bad deal. I don't think a 300zx is a great drift car, but I think that 240 might have something going on that isn't stated there. You never know, if you have driven it and it seems to be in good shape, and you want to, go ahead. But, I'd definitely take 'er out for a test drive and check for any fluid leaks (keep a/c off for a while, check, then turn on the a/c, if equipped, and see if that works). The a/c compressor will spit a little water out that might make it seem like it's leaking (that's what it does) so just remove that from the equation alltogether by turning it off.
Good luck to ya!
