"stock 4.6" 512hp. Damn, my 2.0 couldn't hope to get half that without a new crank, rods, and pistons.

Nice ride man.
I love the Cobra's when they're done right. The rims look tits too. :love2:
Anyway, since there are no Domestics, here's a few pics of my ordinary Cavalier. :uhhh:
Custom, hand crafted aluminum control arms from the Olds Alero.
Custom trunk bracing for track days.
It's a Cavalier and not liked much in the world of tuners but my ambitions for this ride are not done.
Once done, it'll still be a Cavalier but one that will surprise many.

Yeah, it's been a long time in the making.
It's not fast yet but with the n/a engine rebuild I'm planning, will do nicely for track days, autocross, and an occasional trip down the 1320.
Auto tranny is getting dumped for a 5 speed with modified gas pedal for good heel and toe downshifting.
Teins with possible EDFC will be had along with custom, adjustable tie rods with heims for more exact handling.
The Teins will come with camber plates so I won't have any problem setting up the car and also plan on corner balanceing the car once it's all setup.
Yeah, it's a Cavalier but no one said that I can't have a little fun with it.

lol!
I'm a regular autocrosser myself (GS and STS mostly, gonna build the '92 for FM and IPA). What class do you intend to run with that - because with the rebuild and some of those mods will throw you well into the realm of $Prepared or Street Mod at least.

That will probably be the class I'll run then.
I've never autocrossed but has been something that I've wanted to do for years.
I just can't see doing it in a bone stock car though. :sad4:
I also understand about it being the driver too and not the car with autocross so we'll see how it goes.
I do have my bone stock Paseo as a daily driver I may take to my first autocross events.
Initially I'll be doing autocross/ track days for fun. But if I get competitive like I always seem to do, then we'll see how that works out too with the car.
On the streets, you can't reall wring out your car like you can at the track or autocross so that would be the main reason for going.
I'm all about doing things properly when it comes to racing. If I have the need for speed, I hit the dragstrip.
There's really no roads that I know of that I can wring out the car once it's finished so track days will have to be it or autocross.
I've been to an autocross event locally, watching, and loved what I'd seen.
It does take alot of talent to be good and fast.
When the time gets closer, I'll get to know more about the classes etc for autocross.
Thanks for the feedback.

That's a clean Mustang.
I especially love then without a factory wing.
Nice.

a buddy of mine had a 89 cavalier convertible. We dropped 2 12's in the trunk and used to cruise around blasting the tunes. those were the days.

Yeah, and me and my buddy had a Ham (10-meter FM) with a 3500 Watt linear and a CB (11-meter AM) with a 2000 Watt linear. If we saw someone driving around blasting music, we'd key the mike and let them know what we thought about their volume level, lol. Came right through their speakers.

Not to mention through the telephones, tv's, and everything that was electronic.
I was a ham operator once.
KB5OFL was my call sign but I never renewed the license when it was time to do so.
Since the advent of cell phones, I never really got back into ham radio.

DAMN!
I just wish the video of the dyno pull with my Formy came out, but alas it didn't, and the next pull I sheared the #2 mount and twisted #1 and #3. Also twisted the tranny mount.
1987 Formy ... more'n a few mods.
