well i gues i mighta posted on the wrong section. i have a dart with a 318 and a two barrel carb and i want to know what i can Mod to make it more muscely.. (i guess thats how you say it) but yeah it has long tube headers and an aftermarket exhaust that ROARS!!! i have not yet been pulled over for it but i am waiting for the day. i want to put a 340 into it but i dont know if it would even be worth it.

wait, go 383 hemi or similar motor, and save your numbers matching motor. That way it'll be a fast car, but also, since it is from the "classic car era" having the numbers-matching block always improves things.

Cheaper way than shoehorning an entire motor would be to just swap out the manifold and wimpy 2bbl. carb for a nice 4 piper. Gas mileage takes a big hit, but you will certainly see some power. You've already got the exhaust taken care of it seems, so the intake is the next logical step.

can u suggest a 4 barrel that would be plenty sufficient for a 318? also im pretty new with this car so i dont know if my car has an intake manifold. if it doesnt can u also recommend one for me too?
