Not a lancer. I'd do it in A) DSM, B) Evo (but plain stupid, just leave the oem motor in), or C) the Mitsubishi Mirage. The Lancer and Evo share VERY little, while the Mirage is basically the Evo I-VI chassis. It would be a bitch, and something I'd love to do, but even with my exp. level with modifying, it would be a long shot.

I understand that a 4G93 turbo will fit in quite easily is that correct???

There's a difference between fitting in the engine bay and getting driveshafts, suspension, axles, differentials, and engine mounts all in there and properly functional. The Mirage, since it shares more parts with ANY Evo than the Lancer does, would be an easier swap. Hard either way, though, but the Mirage should accept most if not all of the drivetrain parts (tranny, clutch, transfer case, 2x diffs, etc etc) than the Lancer will without having to do SERIOUS fab work (as in, getting a custom driveshaft from the tranny to the rear axle). Honestly, if you're planning on sinking all you have into this, I wouldn't, since I did talk with one feller with that setup (from England...) and he said that he'd paid for that car 4-5 times over just keeping it running and functional. He said it was a blast, but exceptionally expensive. btw - that was an Evo VI GSR motor in a Mirage.
