I'm a newb over here, but I've been on acura-legend.com for over three years. They call me the gallery whore b/c I post so many car pics. Looking forward to seeing what I can learn from all your skills.

I'm just using a point/shoot Canon Powershot right now, but I'd like to get into some more advanced equipment very soon. These pics were taken in my hometown of St. George, Utah, this past weekend. I'm a grad student in Phoenix, Arizona currently.

Excuse the cheesy signature in the pics; my friend taught me how to insert that and I got a little carried away :).

This is my personal car, just a 12-year old Acura Legend 6-speed. You can't tell from looking at it, but the car has 232,000 miles on it.

honestly, i'm very impressed with the s400's clarity in these shots. i could have mistaken them for dslr shots at a small aperature

At first I thought those pictures were taken from a DSLR. Its good to see that some point n shoot cameras can take excellent pictures.

Very nice! I love the scenic shots more than the city ones.
Agree the clarity of that camera is astounding

Thanks guys! I try not to take the scenery around me for granted; it really is beautiful. The S400 has served me well for over three years now. It's the best camera I've owned. I have gotten more than my money's worth out of it, but I plan to upgrade sometime in the near future to something with 6 or more megapixels. Also on the "to-buy" list is a sticky pod (www.stickypod.com) and a compact miniDV camcorder so I can get into the video scene as well.

In the meantime, here are a couple other shots for those of you who enjoy the red rock scenery. They were taken at the worst time of the day (full on sunshine) but turned out okay nonetheless.

This one just makes me laugh:

The first few were taken just outside Snow Canyon State Park, and the others were taken at Pioneer Park in St. George, Utah.

The car itself cleans up amazingly for its year and mileage. I'm at 239,700 now.

One more.

I didn't take this one; my friend Steve did with his Rebel. It was taken at a Legend meet in Tulsa, OK this past May. I thought it turned out pretty cool, except that Dave (front right) has the back end of his car cut off.. I'm at the back right.
