Or instead of promoting poor automotive photos you guys could give him some critique/pointers so that next time his images look better?
First off your lighting in all these photos is very poor.

This image is soft. the background is blown out to say the least. The trunk/hatch of the car is cut off. Teh cement is blown out in the highlights. the reflections on the side of the car destroy any lines the car had.

This image is again soft, under exposed, over exposed, crooked and way too wide to focus on the car.

Best image of the batch however it is still soft, crooked and the lighting is way too harsh

The last 2 i am not sure what the focus of the composition is as parts of the car are cut off and the angles dont make me focus on any certain part of the car. the lighting is again too harsh.
My suggestions
USE A TRIPOD AND SHUTTER RELEASE!!!! if your lens is soft try using a higher f stop to try and sharpen it up a bit.
Garage photos are usually very hard to get good lighting on so i dont have much for pointers there.
USE A CIRCULAR POLARIZER on your lens. This will allow you to get rid of some of the reflections/glare on the car.
Shoot 5 minutes after sunset till 30 minutes past sunset. Or 30 minutes before sunrize to 5 minutes before sunrize. This will give you the best lighting for automotive photography
go to amazon.com search for "how to photograph cars" there should be 2 books. Get the one with gray cover and a rig shot of a car going through a tunnel on the cover.
great book and it will teach you allot.
