Congress is trying to ruin our fun!

Lately there has been talk of a bill being brought about in congress to limit the stock horsepower on a bike sold in the US to 100hp, because of the recent "problems" with sport bikes outrunning cops etc. What do you all think of this?

From what I hear it's already almost imposed in Europe, but the manufacturers might be making a "pact" among themselves to agree to limit horsepower without government involvement.

Not like i need a bike that goes that fast or that i will be running from the police, but still....i am opposed

It will probably be easy to undue whatever the bike manufacturers do to limit the bikes. So, no worries mate.

if they limit it it's not hard to build the engine right back up. i know of a guy right now with a custom pushing like 190 hp to the wheel. it's pretty funny how easily people outrun cops on those ninja bikes.
