Hey i went to court in sunnyvale for my 23109 and i got a $200 fine and 30 hours community service.. I was hella happy but its still 2 points on my licence. My question for sjpopo is how many points can you get on your licence before the suspend it?? And if they suspend it how long can they suspend it for? I know i should probibly talk to the DMV but i figured you might know??

Oh and about NOS they have street leagal kits that you CAN have in your car and CAN use it on the streets. I asked a cop myself offficer Rositti<------- cant spell his name. He said they make them and they are LEAGAL.
And nos is not flammable!!

Regarding NOS, I'll research the issue. However, it's my understanding that it is illegal on the street in CA. Of course NOS is flammable.

It's my understanding that when you have more than 3 points on your record, it's suspended. Freqently, courts make unique decisions about things, so it's tough to generalize too much about that stuff, though. My guess is that your insurance is going to go through the roof, though.

I was looking at the DMV's website and what I saw was that if you get 4 points in 12 months your license will be suspended.

Yeah that is what i thought 4 points in a year..
But when i went to court the judge said (im NOT suspending your licence) but its up to DMV what they wanna do..

That's weird I don't see why the DMV would care how you got your points. I would think 4 points is 4 points. How many do you have know? I'm on three and I have another ticket that I'm taking to court. I don't think I could hang without a license.

well since a 23109 is 2 points this would make it 3..

I got a notice by the DMV, 3 points in 6 mo, or 4 in a year is an auto suspension, but they grant you leeway for school/work use. Regarding nitrous oxide systems kit. I called and asked since noone knew. N.O.S. sells fully legal kits for the F-body, ie Camaro, Trans-Am, and Mustang. These kits were allowed due to their lower compression engines, but you must at all times have the green sticker on your window to let rescuers know you carry a flammable gas in the car if you ever get into a wreck. So far these are the only kits they sell with the CARB number, and they dont think any import kits will ever become legal due to high compression.

Nitrous is not flamable. It supports fire...but...by itself it is not flamable. go get some and try to light it, it dont work.

is it unusual to have your lisence suspended for a month after just one speeding ticket as a juvenile? because that is exactly what happened to me.

damn thats harsh out there in CA, in FL you can have 12 points in a year. speeding tickets are 3 points, so you can get 4 in a year.
