2001 Accord V-6 VS ~1995 BMW 325I

[2001 Accord V-6]

I was driving home on El Camino last night and little aggressively and a guy in a BMW 325I decided to see if I wanted to race him. Off the light I wasn't expecting him to be start racing but since I took off pretty quick, he went all out and power shifted all the way. He was a few feet ahead since he went all out, but I quickly stepped on the gas and easily caught up. I was a few feet ahead when he shifted into 3rd and all the way through 55 MPH (I could tell he was shifting because his tires spun hard everytime he shifted. I was going to go home, but I decided to stay with him to see if he wanted to really go all out and I spotted a redlight up ahead. I changed lanes so I could meet up with him to get ready. I decided I would go all out and brake torque launch the car, but when I got ready to the light turned green and he got the better of me and I screwed up at the launch. 1-1 is not bad but I got to learn how to brake launch my car better or maybe I should just not brake launch the car at all.

nice lil adventure. Dont brake launch it. Just jam the pedal. You are probably just going to create more wheel spin by brake launching.

Sounds pretty cool... I don't even know what brake launching is though, since I can't even drive yet... Oh well..

I think brake launching in your Mustang will put more wheel spin lil ghost, but that is because you have RWD and your back tires will spin, but as for an Accord, most likey not cause it is FWD, My friend brakes launch in his integ all the time and it seems to be ok, it doesn't really peel out, just a little chirp at most, and my parents Legends doesn't wheel spin on a brake launch either, so in my opinion that may be the best way to launch, either that or neutral drop, but that is bad for your tranny.

i work with this dude who has a 318 bmw and keeps talking shit to me about how his bmw will whip my 2000 i4 accord. next thing we know one day after work about two weeks ago i whooped his ass off the light. beat his sorry ass 318 by a car length. next day at work he gives some bullshit about how he miss shifted and now he wants to get nos or turbo or whatever that dinan shit is. so my point is: 318's sucks but the rest of them bmw's are cool especially the new m3's
