So what you will need is a trans from a manual car, the engine speed sensor, the ECM, clutch pedal, and linkage, cable etc. Clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, and TO bearing. Other then that, you will need a shifter, and shifter linkage (or cables). It's a simple swap, if you know what you are doing. I'd say a post to the SR20DE list is in order, so you can get better info. Good luck with the swap, and let us kow how it goes.

I'm sure the NX1600 is reliable, but it is only a 1.6 liter that doesn't produce much power. Not much potential in those. I'm not saying the SR20 is the pimp shit, it's just a lot easier to use as a platform than the GA16.

The only 1.6 liter Honda engine in the U.S. that is decent is the Civic Si (B16A) engine which puts out 160 hp. But again, since the displacement of the engine is so small, a lot of torque is missing. Usually, a 1.6 liter makes around 100 hp. And this holds true for a lot of 1.6 liter Civics and I believe the GA16 puts out around that much (100-110 hp) also.
The Civic Si puts out 160 hp yet its 1/4 mile time is in the high 15's low 16's. The Sentra SE-R only puts out 140 yet has around the same quarter mile time. Reason? A difference in torque.
Plus, the 1.6 liter Civic engines have for some unknown reason a larger aftermarket following than the GA16 which is in the NX1600.
Oh, and don't believe what you hear about "civic's with 1.6 that make a lot of power". Unless its an Si, it's probably not true.

Aw, dude, don't even think of it like that. I'll be the first to admit that I don't know much. And there are a lot of guys who know way too much about cars [kinda gross =)]. But yeah, we need more people like you on the boards in my opinion. I mean, I've learned so much from this board its amazing. Glad to know there other people that are taking advantage of this board to learn.
We are all here to learn from eachother, I was asking SE-Rage some questions on my soon to be sr20 swap. He knows more then I do about the motor, so I asked him. I'm sure there are things that you know, and put into the pot to help another.
