Hi. I was wondering if there's any way to make a Probe GT run 12's. Any idea what mods this would take and about how much it would cost total? I'm gonna try to keep it looking pretty much stock. Thanks.

You could try to shoehorn a Contour SVT engine into one.

Well, there's other cars I'd much rather get. If you wanna send me money, I'll gladly get a much nicer car.

I don't know, the Probe aftermarket is really small if there is one at all. You could go custom. Get a custom Turbo, have a company code an ECU for you, etc.

Is your GT the v6 dohc or the turbo 4cyl? I have seen both turbo and superchargers installed on the v6 Probe GT's They can be quite quick.

I have seen a mazda (mx-6) engine swaped into a probe, I guess its a straight across affair. It didnt have all the emmissions restrictions that the probe did = easier to modify. Look into Mazda stuff since that is who manufactured your engine.

turbo 4????? WHAT?? those aren't turbo'd 4's on the probes. they're just a 4!

the V6 is the much better option cause of this.

The older model Probe GT's had turbo 4cyl engines. The regular Probes had a nonturbo 4cyl.

I think the older ones had the same engine as the mazda turbo. What was the name of it, MX3 or something?
