For the record I have a 1997 Integra GS-R with inake/exhaust.
I have frequented the races quite often in Milpitas but usually it's just a bunch of driving and what not, but last night it was kinda better. We found a road ( don't remember the name ) and everyone was lining up to race. Well my friend's Subaru 2.5 RS (new one) was talking shit all night and we had raced twice earlier, but on a smaller road that wasn't even nearly 1/4 mile, and I lost both (Fucking AWD launches). So we got to this road and it was plenty long and hella people were lining up so I told him to line up and we got all ready. Anyways we take off after the linesman signals us and he jumps ahead immediately, but he's not pulling. After I'm done with second gear and I am hitting about 66 MPH, I shift into third and start to TOTALLY pull on him. I past him going 90~, about 5 MPH short of shifting into fourth. We raced again and it was pretty much the same result. Those things are fast, the AWD launch kills. Anyways, all of us had walkie talkies so we were like "let's just line up and race random people" (we are all from Pleasanton). My friend Vince lined up and then a GSR pulls up next to him and I thought he was toast. He has Civic EX with minor mods. Little to my surprise, Vince burned the guy on the start and he couldn't catch up or something so he gave up. Props to Vince, I was hella shocked. Then one of the Nemesis guys in a newer Integra caught my attention and we went to line up. In my previous races I had tried keeping the RPMS at 3000 and dropping the clutch but I wanted to try something else this time. I pulled the clutch halfway out so it was almost to grab, and I revved it MUCH higher, trying to get into V-TEC faster, since that's where all my power is pretty much. So we line up and linesman sets us off and I fall behind a bit but my tires still haven't got grip yet since I was trying to get into v-tec faster, kinda required a bit of peeling out. Anyways I fall behind a bit but then my tires grip and I shoot ahead of him and shift into second immediately, I pass him up and then I don't know if he missed a gear or gave up early but he stopped and pulled over to the side. Not sure what happened there, but I hope we can get a better race next time I see ya out there ( I think it's Victor? I looked it up on the nemesis page). Anyways, I had a blast last night and I hope to meet more of ya guys out there....
