you have no choice pal. The civic r and integ. r manifold are the same thing. both will not fit a gsr head. The flange is totally different.

there are two options:
#1 skunk2 manifold, simple, cheap, bolts right up.

#2 buy a type r manifold...cuz the flange off of it and have a machine shop weld the gsr flange on. Then you have to worry about the anle of the flange, etc. you also have some very visible weld marks around each of the intake runners. You also ruined a perfectly good stock gsr manifold.........go skunk2

Actually, most places that port heads do not even recomend porting the intake manifold.....if you over port the intake manifold and the ports on the runners are larger then the ports on the intake side of the head, it is going to cause you to lose power....its better to have the intake runners smaller than the head....for all head porting i highly recomend Portflow Design...he is the bomb!

Have it gasket matched to your head as that will insure that you don't onpen the ports too much. As SVP mentioned, when it comes to porting manifolds, bigger isn't always better as it will decrease the amount of air that is being forced into the chamber. When you get the manifold, take it to a place such as Portflow or Rebello Racing Engines in Concord and have the runners flow matched. This is important because in most cars, the runners on the manifold flow unevenly, which causes your motor to behave erratically or even lean out one cylinder.

If you are interested in having manifold work done, look into Rebello Racing Engines in Concord as well. They are one of the winningest engine builders in the nation and they are absolutely amazing. Check them out at http://www.rebelloracingengines.com.
