GEE I WONDER WHAT CARTOON YOU'VE BEEN WATCHING

ugh ignorance is bliss, whatever

ALS (anti lag system) are systems that keep the turbo spooled up when rpms are low
misfiring system is one of these
the way it works is at low rpms, the engine purposely misfires, so it ignites the fuel mixture AFTER the exhaust valve is open
this causes the combustion to occur after it is pumped out of the cylinder, not giving the driver unwanted power (because he might be turning or something) while also powering the turbo with plenty of exhaust gas
this way when the driver gets back on the throttle, there is no turbo lag

as for your hachi, sell it to someone who has a clue as to what their doing and deserves it, and go buy a civic and crash THAT instead

actually, an aftermarket steering wheel with smaller radius might actually help him turn faster, and the rims might help handling
we wouldn't wanna give him any REAL advice right?
it's a good thing i nipped this mistake in the bud :p

*park the car in a tow zone, buy and mix a bunch of cement fill the car up. See if the tow truck can tow it.
*add a flux capacitor
*chrome plate the tires ...twice
*leave it in an hourly parking garage for 1 and 1/2 months

Sorry Mr. Fujiwara, you dun't teach me how to make soy milk, for all I care, if its white, its soy milk! That reminds me, I gotta fire that school girl dress friend of yours, her weak hands are slowing up my production line.

Actually... the engine doesn't misfire..

When the driver is stepping on the pedal and lets off the gas, a shit load of fuel is forced through the combustion chambers through an additional by-pass valve. Meanwhile, the ignition is being delayed and air/fuel mixture reaches the exhaust port, the unburned fuel is ignited by the exhaust at extremely hot temperatures. The pressure from the explosion keeps the turbine spinning to produce boost. Basically, fuel supply is made richer. Running an ALS, it reduces the life of the turbines in the turbo...

and that's where you get your *bang bang

it makes no sense to make the fuel mixture richer, because in the exhaust there will still be no oxygen, no matter how hot it is, so the extra gasoline still won't combust
having it misfire when the exhaust valve is open makes much more sense

im far from a turbo expert... one to many bad experience for my taste... but doesnt the turbo draw in air as well as exhaust so there is actually air flowing with the exhaust gasses yes? -Ninja

exhaust powers the turbo on one side
air gets compressed on other side...
they don't mix

It's quite reasonable to make the fuel mixture richer.. because the additional fuel is forced through the bypass valve.
