Aite guys, let me know how yall started out. What motivated you to start/try drifting? How was it? What type of car? Horror stories? etc.

I started by sliding my 2.3L Mustang around in the dirt lot at my old high school. I didn't even know that a "drifting scene" existed, I was just having a little fun. Almost hit some stuff (fence, cars...) but never did. It wasn't a really smart thing to do afterschool with cars still in the lot, but I was 16 and stupid.

my then girlfriend now wife sent me a drift club vid...rich has it now..then I got a hachiroku and starteddrifting with my friend kit out in a huge open parking lot in the bay...only horror story..they guy I sold my AE86 to totaled it...that bastered..on and that Jetta that I Raced while my car was still stock

*Sniff sniff*

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was tightly strapped into a prelude seat held in Jay's first hachiroku by a milk crate. (the infamous "milk crate option") While trying to hold a video camera, and keep my ass from falling out the door, or into Jay's lap. We spend all night in one turn, capturing one drift after another (where is that tape anyways?? byron???)

After that, I was going to buy an RX7, but the sale fell through, so I was left with $2200 cash, and no car to buy. So I found a $800 Hachiroku for sale, and it's been history sence.

And fuck that Jetta! he tried SO hard ROFL!

cuzz you were leaving for japan? are you back yet? you should have given the car to me *sniffles* it would still be alive today. =*( -Ninja

Germany...I wish Japan..I postedit for sale here and on club4ag but no one wanted it.This was back a few months before AE86 got big


And yes Byron has the tape...and I havent even seen that bad boy yet. I guess Ill have to kick his ass and take it from him!

I offered to buy that car but NOOOO you never called me back. Shit I drove to Redding to look at that one you found on the net. Yeah, trick byron... "can I barrow this, I'll return it to you next week" lol and I STILL watch that vid :)
