My friend used to try to drift his 83 cressida auto. You cant really do all the techniques that you can do with manual so basically ur limited to ebrake. However, if you do it in the rain you can even pull a feint but be careful. Just go into the turn at like 30 then pull ur ebrake up to kick out ur ass then counter steer. You lose a lot of speed but its still cool.

i used to drift my silvia with AT.
what u do is run about 50-70mph.
drop the tranny in to low gear while starting ure turn.
mash the gas if you still cant drift try agian but throw in a little e-brake.
dont expect you car to last too long.

feint is when you turn in the direction opposite of turn
and then swing back, then countersteer, using momentum from first swing to induce oversteer

ahh.....ok that sounds alot safer than dropin it into a lower gear and ebrake...........what about in FWD car?.......or is it impossible?

For fwd, you'd need feint and ebrake, or lfb and feint, but you can't do that for multiple turns, you can't sustain your speed because your angles will become fucked if you gas with fwd, and its assdragging.
Go search for the thread with the celica crashing, not only does he try to "drift" and on one of the turns reduce his speed so much that a granny in a parking lot would have passed him up, but he ended up crashing because:
1. FWD's weren't meant to drift
2. He is a dumbass
