The skid pad is setup to learn how to keep throttle control while your wheels are spinning (slipping). At first I'd spin out and then stall the car. After a bit you can learn to play with the throttle and control your car pretty good.

They had the track too that people were running. The skid pad is just a big square (200 feet by 200 feet) where you can do what you want.

u can do whatever you want for the most part, say if u want to improve on a certain technique... i guess thats all they wanted to show on the shortfilm, theres more to it though in real life...
