I try to drift. I can't hold it 99% of the time. I guess it would help if I had an LSD...

im from the bay. i can pretty much swing my ass out of my 240, but its a one legger and im not too good in keeping the drift. i can drift AE86's with LSD pretty good for sure though... probably any car with LSD.

im mainly a gripper, i love taking out opponents on turns.

does any know who drives a white FC-TII in SF thats dropped and rims? he tried to race me going onto 101N freeway 360 turn onramp and he drifted the whole turn while i dusted him gripping the turn. anyone know him? it looked kool bro, but i guarantee you wont win against me showing off instead of taking the turns quicker.

i think if you all really want a mountain to race come to san jose. There are a few perfect drifting spots on highway 9. Anyone who has driven the road knows it's not for novice, unless you drive slow. I can't drift my car when it's dry, but i like to go when it's wet so i can drift. there are a couple other roads out here as well.

The drift event is on the 23rd (saturday) from what i've heard. 24th is grip. I'll be at the 23rd Event. Look for a silver porsche 944 with big black SRO stickers on it.

That should be kept off nine there are tomany people that dont know that road on it and you can go through a turn and kill someone, keep it on the tracks or big lots where you wont risk your life or someone elses.. just my opinion though

E-spec, i think you lost that one against the TII. Dont get me wrong but when someone drifts a 360 on ramp, it shows who has the talent and who is in the way.

9 isnt that good for drifting.

Max, speedtrial is at buttonwillow on the 23rd, not willow springs.

its the fastest way around a turn that counts, drift all your turns while i grip it and we'll see who comes out the victor... :D

may i add that we raced on the freeway also and he was the one getting stuck behind all the cars, some turbo... i was using my KA'd 240. showing off is kept on drift competitions, not getting from point A to B the quickest.

Im tossing around the idea of either a 5.0 or a rotory powered miatia..but that will probly change

XiaoMing

with the front/back weight ratio of 5.0 miata.. i suggest you stick to drag
rotary powered on the other hand:p

Jay

no no not a 5.0 powered miatia...to cobra like. Im thinking of a running a boro 5.0 stang dori style:) but yes the rotory miatia is a fun idea:)

my cousin was racing his fc and wrecked, cant remember if it was 101 or 280 though, but he was racing around the 360 onramp next to farmers market. that 360 onramp is a nasty turn, i dont remember that fastest ive taken it, but i know it wasnt as good as i would like, ive even lost it a couple of times, lucky the apex has enough room to spin out... so anyone that can drift that thing i would bow down and give the race too. -Ninja

Hey 95 GSX or Coos I just went to highway 9. It is a novice mountain to me. The road is nice and smooth and there are a lot of high speed to low speed turns. Feel like a real race track. I went up there in the rain, scarey in a FF with drift setup. I accidentally drifted 2 turns and drifted through one of the dirt patches so I wouldn't drift into the other lane. I've done it dry another time and the turn are very driftable. Haha the trick about this mountain though is that the top is high speed and the bottom has lots of low speed hairpins so if you overspeed its over. Scary ass mountains around here are like Calaveras and mount Hamilton. Hamilton is alright nice and twisty and nice views and all but some places have no guard rails.

Anyway I'm a drifter and I drift an FF 95' Eclipse RS. I won't be replying to this post anymore though ;[ because I know I'm gonna get a lot of negative comments and flames about FF and drift. I've drifted my car at speedtrials during the drift event also, only FF car on the track that was drifting.

Somewhat of a pretty new drifter, I try it every now and then in empty parking lots (with out cars) and I just see what my car can do. But In less than three weeks or so my LSD will arrive and, I hope things will be more clear as I drift once the LSD is in.
