the point is to discourage stupid people from trying it, for example, that idiot in the corolla who's video is now famous on these boards. And anyone who says drifting is hot as hell shouldnt be drifting

drifting is cold as hell.

expansive repair, a little oversteer and there goes your $2000 C-West kit.

When front wheels toe-out becomes front wheels toe-in, that smile on your face will turn up-side down

hey hey dont jinx me now. id rather that my kit be lost while drifting than having it stolen in front of my house. yup some fucker stole my c-west sideskirts right in front of my house! lucky i got reimbursed by good ol' farmers.

If drifting really took off than i think that all of us would be in trouble. To many idiots would try and do it an hurt themselves causing even more unwanted attention to come to us "racers". My buddies and I have been doing mountain runs all around the bay area for the past two years and while none of us actully drift we dont really have to worry because theres rarely cops on the roads that we drive so we dont have to worry about anything. If a bunch of stupid kids go out and start trying to drift and hurt themselves then i guess we can kiss our driving the mountain good bye. I do think that organized events are great and probably the most safe way to do it but the fact of the matter is alot of kids arent going to pay or they wont drive to the nearest track that is haveing an event. Just my 2 cents on the whole matter.

that is ghetto. Man I remember this one time, my friend's sister has a Civic HB (EG) with a Wings West kit. It had the 3 piece wing on the middle part of the hatch. Anyway some fuckers tried to pry off the wing but only got 1 piece off before they decided to quit, and his sister drove around with a 2/3 wing for a month.

---well, i just got my 240 so i guess you could say im in that wagon, but i didn't get it just so i can claim that i drift... (i just like the car) because, honestly... the idea of speeding into a turn and taking it side ways just scares the shit out of me. i cant say that im not interested in it, but i wont be trying it anytime soon... maybe after some real classes... :D i'll leave the drifting to you guys... for now.
---What im trying to say is that i know that 240's are becoming the new thing... but not all people who actually buy it are clueless of the car itself. although 90% of the new owners will probably rice it out or crash it trying to drift, there are still the 10% who will actually care for the car the right way and take the time to learn what they are doing. So don't assume that all nissan newbie's will ruin the 240. I, for one, am taking very small steps into the nissan camp trying not to step on anyones toes.
i'll admit that if you get me in a honda on the 1/4 mile and im confident... but being in my 240 im still lost... but hey, im trying to do this right. so give me a little break... any helpful advice for me will be greatly appreciated. for all of the newbies in the 10% :D thanx*

i think that should be a quote of the year for all newbies.
it'll encourage fags trying to look coo drifting in front of their friends or on the internet.

dont drift if you dont know how to. if you want to learn go to skipbarber racing school. i think thats the name of the school. oh well.

this section exists because drifiting has become a very trendy thing to do now. drifting is fun once you know how to do it. i say practice in a big empty parking lot with no people and you well learn the basics pretty quickly. just dont endanger other peoples lives.

Ive always wondered how the hell did nissan get so popular all of a sudden. It used to be that nobody knew what kind of car i had (240sx) and now everyone knows what it is and tries to explain to me that in order to be fast i need to swap in that "japanese motor". Im just glad that nissan did not bring to many 240s over to the U.S.

Mr. 20V,

With all due respect, as a fellow black car owner -- YOUR WHEELS ARE FUCKING DISGUSTING!! 17" chrome "dubs" on a hachi?!! I didn't even know they had Neeper in Oz. Please, please do something about it. Hachis shouldn't have anything larger than 15".

anyone else wanna jump on my back about my rims???

im giving you all the opportunity right now... :D

i mean, ive been slammed on club4ag.com & more other message boards than i can remember, about my shitty chrome wheels, so its only fair that everyone on this forum gets a turn as well... :D

i have the chrome rims on there because i got them very very cheap, and regretted it the very next day after i put 'em on.

if you'd like me to do something about it, ill set up a paypal account, so you can all donate to the "MR 20V" foundation and help buy me a set of Volk TE-37's.... (just bear in mind that they're about $1000AUD per wheel  )
cause i just bought a house & i gots no money left..... :(

just to set the record straight though.... at the racetrack, i do have a set of 15" wheels that go on.

Well you sure sound like a nice guy.

Those 15" wheels are kinda bad, but sooooooooooooooooooooo much better than those bling bling Neepers. I mean god damn, aren't the embarassing? I'm not one to care what people think 99% of the time, but I'd rather not look like I have to constantly read a large print book to tell me how to breathe. And they'll hurt your gas mileage, too. Why don't you drive around with the 15"s?

no, not really... chicks around here seem to really dig the chrome wheels for some reason... :D

so what your trying to tell me is that i look like a fucking idiot right??? thats okay. :) i know i'm not, and if having chrome rims on my car makes you think i'm a dickhead, then so be it. :) im not gonna flame you for your opinion.

gas mileage isnt really one of my big concerns either, but your right about that one...

the reason i dont drive around with the 15"s on is because a friend of mine got flat tyres on two of his wheels in the same night & still hasnt been able to afford new ones... (he's even more broke than i am :D) so i let him use my wheels in the meantime.

thats just the kind of nice guy that i am. :D see? :D

sleep easy knowing that there will be some alternate rims on my car very very soon.... trust me. :)

(but thanks for your concern nontheless :D)

DK.. actually, 16" are pretty popular in Japan, from SSR's to Work to P1's, I think 16" looks the best on a hachi.

and as far as the "drifting is trendy" part of this conversation goes, I feel its more like.. "drift posers are trendy".
Im seeing more and more internet personalities posing as drifters when some may have never been on a track.

Well we're not in Japan, are we Mike? ;) I'm just messing with you buddy. Frankly, it matters not to me what's popular in Japan or Afghanistan ... the 15" comment was just my opinion. People put 19" on FDs ... that doesn't mean I'll ever go over 17". OK, maybe 18"s if someone gave me some AW-7s in that size. :D

And how come in my 4 visits to this forum in the past two months, Max Misawa has the last post in this section every time?

Volk TE37's cost $550.00 a wheel for 15" Whoever quoted you $1000.00 is a lying thief.

I can't believe all the people who want to use Japanes terms so they look cool and other people don't know what it means. You fuckers should get some of your own terms in english for drift manuvers.

First off what is a "combo drift" thats the wierdest thing I ever heard. I guess San-patsu" is a combo drift also......... what isn't a combo drift. By the way it is Chokoudori chokou chokou meaning a little a little it is a slang for chotto and dori means street. I will not explain how to do it becasue some of you people will start talking like you do it all the time and you have been doing it all your life or something.
