What Is Racer??

I alway think what type people u consider a racer?? A car with full body kit and custom inter? a IMPORT with big turbo and 4 LCD screen in the car? a street racer who race people on street? or a people who bring car to track and not afraid to be last? many of my freind think they want to build a SHOW/RACE car or a show car race car? YET if u got a sponser sure u can do that but I think IS the people who make a machine faster not the CAR. nice car made u look much better but doesnt make u a better driver?
just a thought I respect any body who is car nut in any different way but when u say ur racer....

man thats hard to say......cuz i pull up to modded cars assuming they r "racers"...yet they dont want to run...how can u claim your a racer if u dont ever race??? but hey what ever gasses up the rocket!!!

maybe they dont wanna run cuz they assume they'll lose and dont wanna waste the gas doin it:cool:...there are ppl who mod their car for their own self satisfaction and not race them:( \

An alternate theory is the one that I live by... I don't run against just anyone because I can't afford to get caught. I've got too much riding on me staying out of trouble. I still race, but only when the chances of getting caught are lower than normal.

yeah you said it man, I think that theory describes more of a racer than just some yahoo racing in traffic.

A racer is someone who can drive their car right. Building a show car that "looks" fast does not make you a racer.

Yep. Its kinda hard and easy to tell whose who. Racer or not. Theres this one time when I had raced this guy with a eclipse gs and told me it was turbocharged! And yes, kicked his arse. Funny how people can point at the intake and say,"forced induction".

i know the feeling..i used to hwy battle and race in cities whenever someone would call me out..i've zoom'ed by police without even knowing..(luckily i only got caught once, and got let off easy)

and now i am paranoid when i drive..*sigh*

i still like to call out a guy here and there when the road is empty. ;)

I think a racer is someone who actually races, be it at the strip or on the streets. Sometimes a "racer" may not be in his ride at the time, so he won't race though. I used to hate on people who have "all show" cars. It's just my personal preference to have at least 50% GO, then 50% SHOW. Now I don't hate because there is a whole different group of people who enter cars in show and have no intentions of racing. Then there are cars that may look average, but are fast as fuck. Then there are cars who look tight and are fast.
