My guess would be the late 1880s or early 1890s.

Motorcycles pre-date WWI, and I would think that even if Indian was not the first company to make a motorcycle, they have to be close.

i watched something on tlc that said that in late 1700's, a bike was made that went like 3mph or something.. but bikes were around before wwII.

I think the 1st bike was made in either England or France in the late 1800s. For some reason I want to say it was electric, but I'm not sure.
