thanks looked at the other posts dident find what i was looken for.
dident mean to offend any one with the small bike thing but im looking to get a bigger sized bike and that is how i was tring to point that out. and i was talking about physical size of the bike not engine size.
Well, obviously you can do whatever you want...but there are helluv newbies goin out and buying full liter bikes. In Fremont here,we have Cycle Salvage, a shop that buys bikes from insurance companys after they have been dropped. I see TONS of big bikes,R1's,Gixxers,929RR,Hayabusa,etc. Most of them have less than the recommended break in mileage on them.:( It sucks to look at a majorly destroyed bike and know that quite a few of the riders probably didnt make it after that crash...
I wasnt offended by the small bike comment..lol. Modern 600's make as much power as 1000 cc bikes did just a few years ago. People think that such a big displacement difference equals a much faster bike. What they fail to realize is that PROFESSIONAL RIDERS are only about 2 seconds faster around most tracks on a full liter bike then there are a middleweight! As far as the streets go,sure a full liter bike will pull away from the middleweight bike with equal riders...but we all know what happens in the twisties ;)
I understand the appeal of a big bike...speed is addictive. Just be careful man...
Go check out the YZF6 (not R6) and the ZX6 (not 6R) there a little bigger than the other 600's. I know my ZX6R is a little bigger than my friends F4I and R6 and only weighs 10lbs more than the R6.
You want a crotch-rocket, or any type?
I've looked at a couple Honda Nighthawk 750s, they're pretty nice (and cheap $5-6k brand new)
I buddy of mine rode a 600F3 for a while while learning how to ride, layed it over a couple times, then bought a 929 something after a year or so.
