I bought it thursday for $3000. It's a 97 5.7L Firebird Trans Am. I think it's a steal. It has just over 100k miles. It rattles like crazy haha, but I can't wait to put it back into tight condition with the help of my wife's old man. It doesn't appear to have any major engine probs. It needs new shocks, brake pads, and rear axle bearings. The guy I bought it from had lost his job, and all he kept asking me is "Did you bring cash". I knew this guy just needed the loot, maybe he's on drugs or something haha. This thing is fun to drive, even with the rattles. Everything is stock right now, so it will be fun to see how it evolves with mods.

Not yet ... it needs a little more MULLET-ing out, lol. Should make The Rob and Ham and Eggs proud also I'd think.

So, how are you liking the GM 350 power?

Particularly since I'm coming from driving my wife's 2.2L cavalier for several years, this thing is blowing my mind. I now find myself always scanning the road for lane change and passing opportunities that appear to be tight fits and seeing if I can gun it in there. I'm in love with this thing.

Nice, I want a Transam, too bad I've gotten the little cousin, or child of it. However I'd like to make my Sunfire an American Tuner, and make it a nice little show car.

What kind of mods are you planning to install on your TransAM?
