I got a ticket at ringwood the other day in my minivan.

Dude the other night when channel two and when SVP raced the skyline and the fight broke out well after the race when the bust happended there where two cops sitting in the driveway right next to the parkinglot where the old people are. i got a ticket in my damn minivan. the cop said i was getting a ticket for "exhibition of speed" wtf? i was in a minivan and my wheels chirped cause i punched it out of the driveway and i only did it so i wouldn't get hit. did anyone else get caught? i am only 17 and they wrote me up for being out between 12-5 too. this sucks. does anyone know what will happen to me? this happened on friday night. did anyone see? please post thanks. also and even stupider thing was that the cop wanted to impound my minivan and stuff. three cops surrounded me by the end of the night. well anyways. i am out and i think my license will be suspended for sometime now. later.

hahaha....exposition of speed in a mini-van......your best shot is to take it too court......the officer might not even show, and thats an automatic win for you(i think).....that curfew is some gay shit....luckily I'm almost 20.....good luck man!....I was there, but i didnt get busted.....was anyone at T****** when the cops showed??? I heard all kinds of sirens, and thought, "damn another raid??" They were cool about it though......

thanks for the support guys and i already have a court date and the san jose police captain is on my side and i kinda have a lawyer in a way. i just dont wanna lose my license. and there were 5 cars imnpounded that night and i was't at t****** but i know hella cars were busted. the place the cops hid...well they were there the whol time everyone was racing. keep posting replies i need all the help i can get and support and info. thanks guys

My friend was out for past curfue and he got a ticket for racing and past curfue and he lost his liscense of 3 months. He gets it back this month so it wasn't that bad.

Definintly fight it though. I was parked over at ringwood for like an hour helping my friend fix his tire and two cops pulled up and told us to move it off the street cause there was no parking and he could give us a ticket if he wanted. we told them it was a flat tire so they just left. Some cops don't know what to do. Oh well but like I said fight it. I peeled out before when I got my new clutch and i got a ticket but I went to court and got it cleared. Im out! good luck.

I got a ticket and went to court and the officer that gave me a ticket showed up. All over a LEGAL AEM intake. Of course I won but I don't know if you'll win if he shows up. But if he doesn't show it, it's like the cop forfits his rights and the ticket is dissmissed.

hey from what i know even if the cop doesnt show up to court itll still go thru cuz its exbition of speed or whatever u got and not only that its a 900 dollar or more ticket and if convicted u can loose your license for 30 days or more and the worse part about it is it counts as two points on your driving record...so u better have a good explanation for the judge...best thing to do is be honest...cuz that happened to my friend and he was completely honest and the judge liked that so he gave him the least number of days for suspension and the lowest fine

You would have to go court whether or not if the cop shows up because your ticket is for exibition of speed a misdemeanor. It will be you vs. the prosecuter no you vs. the cops. he won't go to court until you plead not guilty and have a hearing where he will testify against you. there is no way you can automatically win unless the DA does not file charges against you.

so basically if i goto court with a good explanation i may be ok? i went to the track yesterday in day light and tried to do it again and i couldn't. also the driveway is to steep to go fast over to peel out. the cop also said "i HEARD you peel out. of 200+ cars there is a slight chance it was even me that peeled out. the only thing i can think of is that i drove off the curb and my tire chirped when it hit the ground. but thanlks for all the help. and ez5k is just screwing around. he is not trying to start shit. he is a teamate just talking. well i am out. late

If you plead not guilty, they have to show up or the case is dismissed. Don't bet on them not showing up though. I've tried that 2x and both times the cop showed.

i went in today about my ticket to get the police report and whe ni read it the cop said that "i(cop) saw the minivan fish tail and caused him to screach his tires as i (cop) was pulling out of the driveway." well frist of all i have a front wheel drive minivan and doesn't that mean you can't fishtail...okok i am sure i could fishtail but i would probably flip before i fish tail. also the ticket was late at night on fortune and that is dimly lit at 2:40am so you probably couldn't see me. another thing was the cop wasn't pulling out because he was sitting there with his lights off with like 2-3 cops next to him. he also said "the minivan accelerated at a very fast pace and i pulled him over about 200 ft from the driveway" the driveway i was in was about 15 feet away from him and 200 ft? that can't be right because i stopped immediatly. well that is my story but my question to you guys is...is it possible for a minivan to fishtail if it is a front wheel drive car on a dry day out of a driveway? well thats my story. later

ok i went to court today. the judge showed me the price of the ticket and it was $1027 for exhibition of speed and i plead guilty for the first offense which was breaking curfew and the exhibition ticket i plead not guilty. the judge said if i plead guilty he would let me off with a suspension, take away the misdamenor and give me an infraction (unsafe start) and only suspend my license for 30 day and the fine would be about $230. so i plead guilty and he actually lowered my fine even more andit is only $167 and 30 day restricted license and no community service. i think i got off pretty easy and i only have one point instead of two. my parents are cool with it and now i am not so stressed. but i guess you guys wont see me out there for at least a month. well thats it guys. thanks for who ever helped me out. later
