Got my bike today...

I decided to get a used bike instead of a new one since it is my first bike. I got a 94 CBR600 F2...very clean,red/black/white. Not as fast as the 600F4i I wanted,but much cheaper!

I really want a bike...nice choice too. How much did you pay for it??? I say an F2 FS at school for $3800. That seemed pretty expensive to me...i dont know though.....nice job man

Are you gonna bring it to Montague on Fri or Sat???? Got any pics???....I'll soon be joining you!....and did you sell the 5.0?

Hehehe...sorry Nick! Licensce? What licensce?! LOL!...Havent taken the test yet...but as soon as I get it reg,insured,etc I will bring her out to the runs. Yes,I sold my stang...but another one will be on the way relatively soon! I paid $4k for the bike,but I bought it from a freind,with low miles,and I know that it has been taken care of. If you decide to get an F2...try to get a 94, because it has a cartridge style fork,which offers better tuning capabilities then the damping rod fork used on 91-93.

hahahaha......i sure as hell hope so.....I think i've made my mind up.....im gonna get the bike....now all i gotta do is chose a bike, get my license, get the bike, and hit the streets.....cant wait!

Make sure you know how to ride before getting a bike. Invest wisely in protective gear; an expensive helmet is alot cheaper than a concussion. Also, brand new sport bikes (R6, F4, R1, GSXR, etc...) and brand new riders do not mix, they get laughed at and are called squids.

Im not new to riding....Ive riden dirt bikes before.....

One question though.....what do you think about say a 94ish GSXR 600??? I dont think thats too much bike, cuz Im 6'4" and weigh about 200lbs....what do you think?

Good Job! I was thinking of getting a used bike for my first bike too. When you get used to it maybe then you can decide if you wanter a newer one, faster one, more comfy one, etc...

I'm finally getting my first bike this Sunday. Going to get my bike learners permit Friday, then have to shoot up to Charlotte, NC to get a GS500 to learn on. Hopefully, will get good enought to get a 600F4i later this year. Wnat to start with something small though since I've never been on a bike.
Where's a good place to get accessories? I need a helmet and gloves. Have a bike jacket already.

A great place to buy gear and bike parts is from World Motors USA in Berkely. The guy that owns the shop is named Allan. Great guy. He will pretty much give you the lowest price on stuff anywhere. He usually sells race equipment to AFM and AMA riders, you can get anything for the track there from Helmets, boots, to race fuel. Here is his website:
