240sx vs civic

Alright i pull up to a 1990 civic hatchback si the guy smiles my friend rolls down the window and say lets go. I raced him i got up to 120kmph and then he started slowing down so i did too. He beat me by 2 car lengths. He pulls over and talks to me he had a cold air intake and a catback exhaust and he was the only one in the car. I was stock and had my friend with me. How did i lose to a civic?

well, u have a stanza/frontier truck engine in ur 240...not much performance wise.

His got the lighter car with mods...that could be another factor.

hey lilghoust, no mater if is a truck engine or not the motor is strong and for only have 150 hp stock to the flywheel the little things have some torqre..depending on the civic you raced it may have more hp than you and you never know these days if they have a swap or not..i got beat be 2nd gen teg, but he have a blown gsr motor in it..so you just never know bro dont get down about it..save your money and get the sr20det and you will smoke most v-8s with the stock internals and stock boost...
