i have a 95 si

i have intake headers and other small mods
ive beaten 2 mod'd GSRs, an si with a GSR swap, N.A. 3000gt
and a ton of other mod'd si's ETC(from a dead stop) even a 1999 si on the freeway(he had a head start too!)

what the hell is going on here??? this is all on reg unleaded fuel w/out octane boosters

one reason i can think of is my car IS pretty light its not stripped or anything
its all stock interior
this doesnt seem right...i have only lost to a HEAVILY MODIFIED turbo LS and a pontiac formula V8 (no kidding)
well just sharing

anyone else find out their ex or si is possesed?

Perhaps you're a really good driver...or the other guys you raced were horrible. How was their launching?

all my runs have had equal starts,

well last night i had the worst start ever, we launched at the same time...no grip, kept spinning them in 1st
still wone by a lot...just an old modded 280zx though

its seems 1st gear for me is always close but when i get it into 2nd that when i start pulling more

the si w/ the gsr swap was realy close but i was still pulling on him in 3rd
and when we were done he wanted his mechanic friend to try with his car against me but then security kicked us out

my tires suck too just stock all-weather tread

Maybe you're one of those lucky ones that got stuck with the factory freak....ask Mr. Integra about it....he beats other gsr's and itr's like it ain't a thing...and he has GSR with intake and headers.....

Yeah,it could be that you are a great driver,or the guy you are racing sux ass at shifting...hence you pulling when hitting 2nd gear. Are you the original owner of the car? I have heard of guys that have bought cars, thinking they are stock, and finding out that the motor has been tinkered with, bumped up compression, port and polished,etc...

other small mods...
ngk 8mm wires new ngk plugs
new fuel rail (factory)
i dont even have CAI its AEM short ram

no im not the original owner
and yes i think it has been messed with
it runs REALLY good, even at idle i bought it at 80kmiles
it now has 85k
but i should be getting somthing like 27/34 gas mileage, ive looked it up, im getting like 22/31
my engine head doesnt look stock either its all bare steel looking
when i bought it EVERYTHING WAS STOCK in the engine except a replaced power steering pump and the fuel rail, the previos owner was maticulous on replacing parts

also is this normal?...
my pulleys say mitsubishi on them and the belt does too
should this be there?

on spec sheets my car is supposed to do 0-60 in 8.4sec
i have tested it many times with g-tech (acurate to the .01)
i get an average of 7 flat
ive gotten 6.83 6.89 and 6.9
thats only with intake and really shity tires

it cant be a coinsidence...i have raced too many people for them ALL to have bad starts or crapy skills

and i know of this guy that bought a 95 ex with like 30kmiles and he spanked all sorts of cars including a type r
i witnessed it
ALL he had was aem cai
i remember people didnt believe him when he told them...i saw his engine for myself

its a black 2door hes on nemesis

i also think it may be the way i launch

thats all for now

yea they say a few small mods right thats it. Well if you have g-tech that gives hp on the reading charts right??? If it does check to see what the hp is.

I feel you man. I have a 1992 Mazda MX-3 (1.6l SOHC) definately not the fastest car ever. Ive beat a last generation Celica w/mods, an integra w/ mods, a bad ass civic w/mods & body kit (not sure what kind all the badges were stripped I think it was an EX), and a Civic hb w/ mods. All I have is a rear exhaust section, from a civic (a whole lot of cutting and welding), I don't know how im doing it, these cars all have alot more power than mine. I don't mind though. I think its because our cars love us ;D. Bot anyway just thought Id add that in. Power to the "Factory Freaks".

hahaha... i'll just say that the hatch Si's are just plain curiously fast.... i have no idea why... weight/hp ratio is the only explanation that i can think of...

i saw my friend's lightly modded hatch take on GSRs and lulus like nothing... i was speechless...

lightly mod:
filter - nope.. not even piping...
spark plugs / wires

the end... thats it... no more mods... but whoopin on GSRs?!? i dunno man....... i really dunno...

and to think they share the same engine which i have rite now (1.6 SOHC).... err... :(
