Ok.. There is a CARB Certified Intake for mine. I talk to the engineering of that product. They use the same damn K&N cone filter, even matched the partnumbers. They OEM it from K & N change the partnumber and put it in a Box. Then they went thought certification project and got CARB, Which cost the a lot of money so they have to sell it for more.

Someone my my club did emmision Test on my car with Stock intake, CARB Certified intake, Open Cone(like mine), Some other company not CARB certified. NO DIFFERENT IN SMOG NUMBER AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You misunderstand the purpose of CARB certification for intakes. It's very unlikely that anything you build for an intake will change tailpipe emissions, true. But they're concerned with the total emissions picture, including evaporative emissions. So a CARB-legal intake has to have provisions for all the PCV and evap canister connections.

i feel sorry for you guys.

i live in a town that is non-emissions compliant. my car does not get tested and i can do whatever i want to my car because nobody cares or checks. and it isnt like im WAY out in the sticks either. im only about 25 min from st.louis.
