1992 celicas and such.

step:

1- Get the biggest freakin universal K&N Cone Air Filter

2- Take out the Air Box... Disconect the intake arm.. open the top.. take out filter... then you can get to the screws in the bottom of the box. Take off the Box top from the Intake arm

3- undo clamp on the T-Body

4- Take Resonator off of the intake arm, and plug the hole... AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!... NOT WITH ANYTHING THAT WILL GET SUCKED INTO THE ENGINE!!!... I used the biggest medical bottle Cap I could get.. and it took 15min to sqweaze it in. (note that this hole gets smaller with a ring inside, so you must put sumthin bigger then the smallest part of the hole's internal ring diamiter)

5- Put your Universal K&N beast on the end.

6- place the system back on the T-Body

7- Do up all clamps etc, make sure system is tight

8- take the air sensor that was in the side of the BOX, and slip it in-behind the K&N near the Strut wall.

9- Reset your ECU.

Another thing you should think about doing is getting a relocation kit for your battery, so you can move it to the trunk and open up that spot so you can get a larger flow of air. I would do it, but I have a conv. and it leaks! You could have gotten some 3in Metal piping and gotten it custom bent to your specs and then used it in place of old rubber tube. Drill hole for flow meter, and you would be better off. Just my $.02 worth...

relocating the battery sounds like a sweet idea... thanks..... I think im goina look into that soon.

As far as the sensor... I looked in my repair manual... and it seems as though the sensor is not a flow meter.... but rather an air temperature sensor. so you can get by with just having it near the cone filter..... but still would be more acurate in the induction arm itself.

Cool deal with the battery idea.
