If anyone knows of an older Chevy worth building up, please let me know... I'm still looking. I got a small block 350 in the garage right now in progress. bored 60 over, dome top pistons, can't remember what compression, I wanna say 11/1 but I have to verify, gear drive set up, roller rockers, 500 lift cam, don't remember duration, angle plug 202 close chamber heads ( got lucky with those, those suckers are rare ) not sure if i wanna run those heads though, there are a lot better out there that i can tweak. When I did the calculations, it should put out 750 with a single 4 barrell carb and rev at least 10000 rpm, kinda like them nascar engines, we'll see though, it might be more or less.

The Small Block Chevy is the best platform on the market. You can do anything from mild to insane with the tons of parts available.

can you use a .500 lift cam with dome tops? they must have grand canyon valve reliefs.

Can't go wrong with a late '60s Nova. Awesome little cars.

It won't make anywhere near 750 HP or rev to 10,000.:bsflag: I'm running a huge solid roller with AFR 210 heads and mine won't do that.

I notice your in California. Wanna run that 750 horse car? :D

calculations are great but when it comes down to it. the calculations are usually wrong to get the horses you are talking about you need perfectly matched heads which is verry hard to obtain without trying them first. Last guy I met with those kinds of numbers went through 60+ sets of heads to get it right. but it sounds like you are on the right track to me and i suggest a early nova body (65-66) they are light and not bad looking. (chevelles and tempests are over popular and heavy.)

I haven't decided whether you are "special", wasted, vastly underage, or just spewing words from some magazine, but one thing is certain: you clearly haven't posted anything valid at all.
