okay as soon as i get a job (surely next week) i'll be getting a 1996 gs-r... the motor is all i car about nothing else... building a car from the bottom up or top down what would be the best thing to do to it first.... besides header and no exhuast right now, gonna sleep this bad boy... i was thinking of cam gears, headers, new camshaft, port and polish, increase comp. ratio, new ecu, mostly its gonna be skunk2 products.... just let me know what you guys think and what would be the best order to do this process...any suggestions welcome... peace

port out everything you possibly can. I knew a guy who had this total sleeper integra. He was running a high 13 with a stock exhaust. it didnt even sound modded, but he never would pop his hood. We could tell he wasnt running any sort of power adder too

horsepower is in the head, speed is in the gears.
with my frirst 300 dollars, i would buy my integra a nice 4-1 header

yeah after i build a good setup then i was thinking turbo or supercharger... i think vortech is in the process of making one for the 96-00. But turbo imma get atleast a T3. But that's last hahhaha peace.

Whether you decide to turbocharge or not should be your first decision. That decision will reflect on what you do with your car afterwards. You don't want to spend money on bolt ons when you want to go forced induction later on.

SE-Rage is right....find out which path youre going to take with your car, whether it be turbo, all-motor, supercharged or squeeze. ive been debating for a while now on whether to turbo or go all-motor. ive been leaning toward the turbo and still am, but a close friend of mine has heard rumors of a undercover chillin by the race shops taking down peoples license plate numbers on cars that have turbo and puttin a hold on their registration in the case of smog...aint that some sheit...i dont give a f#*% though...if i get caught when i get my turbo imma just take it off and decide whether to sell it or not...but yeah man, find out which way you wanna go so you put your hard earned money to good use..safe racing yall..peace

well ive made my decision... since the gsr was to much for me price wise right now... here is my plan... in about three months get a crx 89-91... drop a B16A (including tranny, ecu, axle all the necessary stuff for the swap to go right) then basic build ups like increase of comp. ratio, cams, head work, bolt-ons etc... pretty much im going all motor... i had a turboed `88 626 (stock 15.6 @ 89mph tuned by dad and now donated for tax deduction) with all the goodies and i enjoyed the turbo on that bad boy but now im just tired of fixing that shit and if i fix it then it'll cost more then the car is worth... so im just gonna invest my money in some new goodies and for my team's first project car cause being in the scene for 4 years i've studied peoples mistakes and i have seen many options that i can choose from... PROJECT `01 READY TO GO IN `02... peace

Agreed, plan ahead, with all the money i put into other crap in my car i could have gone turbo with money to spare! Oh well, it's all still fun! =)

Supercharge... you can keep your bolt on's but recommended to keep your stock cam profile.
