I have had a cam gear in my trunk for a few days..and Im wondering who has had theirs installed my a mechanic and how much. I dont have the patients to do it my self. I installed everything on the car by myself...but I just can't stand pulling all my belts (also timing belt) to do this. Im curious on what this is gonna cost me. *SIGH* If worse comes to worse I'll spend the whole day doing it. And it will take me all day. thanks

I think I spent like $80 at a performance shop for my Prelude.

I put them in myself, and had next to no trouble with the timing belt....maybe i stretched it out, cuz when i got my car serviced, they said it was way too loose......oh well, its fixed now....

Peace:D

I took mine to the shop and they told me it would cost me upwards to $200 dollars just to put the gears in. Haven't done it yet cause im trying to find something cheaper. But my car you have to take out the whole left side of the engine just to get to the cam gears and timing belt. Anyone have some suggestions.

I know about the box cause I want that cut so i can adjust my gears but from what im told all the parts that are holding that box have to come out too which seems to me to be alot of work. Im probably going to do it myself cause I dont want to pay high costs. But do you know how to tune it once they are in place. Is it easy to tune the gears. That is my main problem.
