Hey, unfortunately after finding out from Ry, i find my thread has gotten erased as a result of them trying to fix problems. So i'm going to repost. Heres my situation...
I just turned 17 about a month ago, Aug. 20th, and bought a red 2001 cavalier z24. The paint is in mint condition, with about 5 chips the size of a pencil point, and the engine you could eat off. Currently in the audio deparment I have:
Pioneer DEH-P7700MP Head-Unit, Soundstorm 1400 watt amp, and 2 12'' MTX Subwoofers.
Interior Neons - Locations: Under steering wheel, under glovebox, and under 2 front seats.
Goals: To have an all around well equipped show car. The car has to look clean (not like some of these circus shits i see on the road) and acceleration is always on my mind.
Problems: I am 17 (as previously mentioned) so my parents are paying for my insurance as of now, one speeding ticket and i start paying some of it which I definitely cannot afford. This is why I'm hesitant to really hit the engine hard with mods. I live in north New Jersey, and alot of these roads would rock my body kit if its within 4 inches of the road.
My price range for next summer to put into my baby is $2400 give or take. A friend suggested buying parts I want in the winter when they're on clearance (Is this true?)
Any suggestions you could offer, ideas, and or advice I would greatly appreciate it guys. Compared to all of you I am an extreme noob but hopefully with you guys willing I will be able to learn little by little. Thanks
