Hey, if an officer is waving his weapon around for no reason, is that legal?
There i was, waiting for the officer to talk to me and find a stupid reason to give me a ticket - i got one for a modifyed exhaust (although my exhaust is stock!!)
I looked over and noticed another officer waving his night stick around.. holstering it, unholstering it, twirling it...
I know it wasnt super-threatening.. but if cops wanna be so FREAKING nit picky, isnt it technaclly illegal for cops to unholster weapons without any reason?

Modified Exhaust is BS ticket! I got one of those and I'm going to fight it.
Cop didn't have any instrument to measure the noise level of my exhaust, so I think ticket will be thrown out of the court.
Also got ticket for Intake, CA govt think that iNtake make your car smog more.
Wants to see Smog and noise? My Lawn Mower have both features, SMOG and noise.

I'll have to be the devils advocate. Did you actually feel threatened? I doubt it. Even though it was a bogus ticket, I can't help but think you just want something to bitch back about. But if I'm wrong and you actually felt threatened you should make a complaint detailing the incident to that departments Internal affairs. You'll still have to take care of the ticket but it will be your own personal " Empire strikes back ". IMO I think complaints like this are crap, even though they get on your nerves . A little like your little brother telling your mom you stuck your tongue out at him. I'm not getting down on you, but it is kinda frivolous. But at the same time if you feel wronged you should make a complaint. ( If you cut off the leg , won't be nomore kickin ).
Good luck w/ your complaint. Solidus

Solidus, i was being completely nit picky -- that night, the cop that gave me the ticket knew that my car was legal, i'm pretty sure of it the way he talked to me... But if you know fremont, they train their police force to stop the late night races whether or not it is completely right or wrong.. know what i'm saying?
The point is, it doesnt have to be threatening.. its the question whether it is legal or illegal.. if they expect us to do everything EXACTLY as law, they must understand that its a double edged sword.
