4 Easy Ways to Escape a Road Block.

Some ideas on how to escape road blocks:

1. Report it stolen.
Next time you get blocked in at one of the fremont strips, everybody (all 350 people) should get out of their cars and run home. The next morning, report your car stolen.

2. Be prepared.
Build ramps that slope over the curbs. That way, when the cops block off the road, you can simply drive around them, over the curb and out to safety.

3. Be invisible.
Purchase vehicle camoflauge at the Army Surplus Store (it looks like a net with leaves attached) and drive to the racing hot spots. Signals can be exhanged between drivers via flashing lights, honking or revving. When the cops come, drive into the nearest bush. Make sure to kill your engine, otherwise, exhaust gases and engine noise will give away your hiding spot. Another benefit - finding other racers will be easier - simply follow the speeding bush.

4. Teamwork.
Create a diversion.. find a cop, rev, fire a pistol in the air and speed away as fast as you can... if done properly, the entire police squadron will be on your tail within minutes leaving the strips open for friends to race on.

That was soooo funny. I can't believe they pulled that off. I saw the whole thing last Friday. 15 cars must have gotten through over that ghetto-ass bridge. I feel bad for the doods that got caught in the act by that motorcycle cop though.

haha...that ramp thing works...I had to do it at 1st street last year...I was told after we left a couple of other people did it also. we took an old door from sysco...cut down a portion of the fence...ahhhh...it was great.

Take a shit, right on yer ID Card! And smear the shit on yer plates too so they can't see the #s or Letters. Then when the cop asks for your ID, he wont take it. Then just look at him with a dumb look on yer face (not hard for Matt to do), but make sure to put a peice of the shit in yer nose first, corn kernal or bean works best. The cop will let you go for sure!

haha...it worked for me at n1st...luckily...it took me and my freind forever to take down that friggin portion of the fence, because all I had was some dinky wire cutters. MY hands HELLA hurt after that.

The ramps can get you out of a jam in a lot of places, if all you need to do is hop a planter or two. I remember doing that out at Great America last summer, quite a few people made it out.

I had a Union City cop tell me one time they were having problems with people calling in and reporting shots heard somewhere across town from the racing areas so they could get runs in.

If you do happen to get stuck in a roadblock though, the best thing to do is just park it and walk away. If your car isn't obvious (say it only has rims or something) then you can leave it there and come back for it later. At N. First I parked my GTI over by some other cars at one of the office buildings and just left it there...wandered around and talked to some other folks, then when it was all cleared out, I drove away. Just sit on the steps of an office and act like you belong there...works every time.

That's one advantage to racing in industrial areas instead of roads in the middle of nowhere, there's plenty of places to hide. Also check and see if there would be any reason for you to be at any of the businesses in the area, or you have friends that work there. I had a friend who worked at a place right on GA, and I could park in the lot at night and had an excuse to be there. I've also got a friend who is an electrician, and they often get jobs in the area, sometimes with 24 hour keycard access...so even if it's 2:00 am he could say he was over there working on something. If you think about it enough, there's a lot of ways to stay out of trouble.

we tried building a ramp before when they raided santa clara, but my car was to low and it got stuck on those stupid speed bumps...lol...no insurance, expired tag, modified exhaust, state reff. and trying to run away from the cops...lol doesn't wrk when ur car is low like mine...

Fremont drag strip is still there, my friend was out there in his truck and was driving on it. Someone tried to get it reopened in the early 90's, but the city wouldn't grant him the permits. It'd be sweet if they actually opened it though, it's do long of a drive to Sac or Sears point.

Someone should post a topic in every forum on this site and all other sites pertaining to this. I'm sure if we can get everyone in the bay area to support this and pay a minimal amount per night per car ($5-$10 per night) this could happen. Or even write a few newspapers an have people sign petitions. (while at the runs just ask people to sign a petition to re-open baylands [this is the name of the freomnt track]) This would only take like 1 minute per person and I am sure in a few weeks we could have well over 750 signatures (no repeats). And at $5a night * 750 people =$3750 a night for the city. Money for the people that don't do shit, and racing for us. We would both win. Or even if we could gather a lot of people and go to a City meeting (I forgot what they are called, but it's where the mayor and everyone that's "important" meets) and bring this up, we might be able to do this.

I've gotten out of tickets twice because of something like this!

My car is the same as the cars most Po's use (Caprice), and one time at this one industrial district when state/county/local cops came to bust us I rolled up to the roadblock and they waved me through! They must have thought I was an undercover or something.

A friend of mine has a big white Caprice, and can never get people to race him and whenever he's out riding, everyone on the road slows down 10mph. hehehehe :D

i think SVP was the first ones to get over the ramp...
den me and my fren...(the 2 black hatches) went next..
i actually got stuck on the ditch...den a group of people pushed my car so i got over it...i thought the motorcyle cop is goin to pull me over...
after that an undercover cop blocked off the people the went over the ramp...i think the yellow ITR got pop but we just went around...
we got lucky...
