why do peeps dis the z?

why do so many peeps say its slow and shit(****ing almost as strong as a supra if not as much or more)
from wat i seen its not
it get barely any repect from people i seen talking

Because IT IS slow in stock trim...it is not nearly as fast as a Supra TT.

whered u get those stats pserprelude?

from what i know, in 96 the Variable cam timing was 'quietly' dropped due to smog regulations, reducing 5-speed engine output to 280HP, normally 300HP. Different cams installed to compensate for lost HP (total still at only 280HP).

90-95 z's should be around the very low 14's stock. and the car would be a bit lighter without the HICAS system too.

asaindobol has a point, z's are put down and underestimated. i know its not as fast as a supra stock for stock no arguement there, but give the car some respsect. everyone has different opinions on cars. the Z can be built to be pretty quick and keep its whole interior and be 100% streetable. for example an 91 11sec. Z around here is still comfortable to drive in just cruising (its not mine obviously but i know the guys and have been wanting to buy it from him)

and u guys gotta look at the car overall. the ride, interior, and all that. i've always liked the z's interior better than the supras, easier to maintain than an FD. basically i'm just sayin every car has its pros and cons. so yea, thats my .02, peace

and the supra cant be in the low fives

The specs on the z that I posted are only for the 96, I heard the early 90's 1/4 was 14.0 and 0-60 about 6.
