Well, on my way to my GF's house tonight I came across a nice red 240sx hatchback with black wheels. I was driving along and he pulled along side of me. I looked over and saw that it was a skinny asian kid driving it but he was with his GF so i just kept on with my business when he gave me a BOV salute. So i dropped it down into 3rd gear at about 70 and got over in the other clear lane next to him and waited for him to go.

We both gunned it at about the same time. Through third gear we were dead even, I was extremely suprised by this car. When i hit fourth gear i barely started inching on him. Through third gear it was dead even, in fourth i put MAYBE a quarter of a car on him (I could still see part of his front bumper out of my periphial vision off to the side of my winshield). We both gave a thumbs up and went on about our business. It was definitely a quick car, and that was probably the closest race I've had in a good long time. The only real identifiable markings on it was a small sticker on the rear window that I think said "Living Dreams" or something of the sort.

For me to only put a quarter car on it from a 70-120ish roll is awesome. Definitely a thumbs up goes to the car and driver.

Hell if i know. I dont really get into the "scene" that much anymore. I have more important things to worry about now like a job and a girlfriend. My friends are still into racing our cars, and i'm always meeting new people and going to race, but there's really no scene here that I know of. Cops are cracking down hard.

I think that a Firebird Formula is a 5.7L V8 (Like the Trans Am), but may have a slight difference. I think it's the top end model of Firebirds until they made the WS-6s. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
DJROCKZ415 -> Damn you're from Hunter's Point. That place was pretty rough last time I went there (actually was 7 years ago, so it could have changed).

The only difference between a Trans Am and Firebird Formula is body panels and suspension options

Nice kill, lucky for him he didn't get beat up too bad, his girl was there.

240s built right are always a good thing to see. There's people around here tryna be "fast and furious". Most of the time they end up wrecking their engines running way too much psi daily, then go crying about how it "wasn't expected" and shit.

Good job.

From what I know about a formula is its got just as much power as your ws6 except for a tranny with 6 speeds . My cousin had a 95 formula and my nieghbor had a newer ws6 i think a 2000 or 2001 cant remember but . But they agreed to race and man they ran side by side . So from what i could think about your race . Thats a very good run you had . theres a 240 localy selling for cheap . and i even found a skyline for 30 , nice price for the car there selling.Your car is fast . How come no pics???

All production LT-1 / LS-1 Firebirds (that means Trans-Ams too) have a 6 speed if they don't have the 4L60.
