ok so here is my problem. I dont know what is the difference is between an intake manifold and an exhaust manifold. My friends say that it'll give you about 55 hp to the wheels??? so i went and bought one but i dont know where it goes??? any help would help thanks...

i bought an intake manifold i think. all i know is ( my friends told me) is that it goes ontop of my engine. maybe you know what it is... Its red and says DOHC on it??? will that even fit on my civic ex???

sounds like an intake manifold or a valve cover.

I'm pretty sure it's a valve cover. You should probably take it back before you lose the reciept, tell your friend he's a fuckface, and start reading about cars. No offense, but you've got a loooong way to go.

That is a valve cover. Also neither an intake manifold or new exhaust manifold will give you 55 crank or wheel hp. Also that valve cover will not fit on your car.

as a general rule, Don't buy anything when... 1. you're not 100% sure about what you're buying 2. (provided it needs installation)if you don't know how to install it and don't know anyone, or can't pay anyone that does. And 3. are unsure about what it does or how to use it....

Sounds like a valve cover to me and please NEVER do anything to your car yourself. Go take shop class or something. Also don't buy anything that your not positive fits your car specificly. i really hope you are kidding.
