I was looking at headers and noticed that chikara headers are really cheap. Are they any good? Anyone have experience with it. Planning to get it if its good.

Chikara headers are made by Hedman Headers, who are pretty well known in the V8 world. They make sportcompact headers in the standard design and another with their "Power Plus" technology.

Their Power Plus design has stepped primaries to prevent exhaust reversion. Reversion is basically the exhaust pulse briefly flowing backwards (sort of being pushed back into the intake manifold) during the overlap phase of the camshaft. If the exhaust gas velocity is pretty high, it will take more energy for the motor to expell the spent gases. Of course, how much reversion you get all depends on your cam profile(s), primary tube diameter, exhaust valve timing, valve size, and so on and so on. The main advantage the anti-reversion has is a broader torque curve.

The all-throttle L'Natural drag car uses anti-reversion technology.

G'luck...

Over at http://www.speedoptions.com , they tested Chikara headers on an Integra or Civic, some import. They gained an average of 7HP, I think, and they really raved about them. They said they were the best bang-for-the-buck headers you could buy and really loved them.
