Do you have the money to get the twin turbo? I don't even think that you could debate about it. But if you're just going to blow thousands of dollars on a kit and rims, instead of helping out the VG30DETT, well, I don't know.

with twin turboes....dont forget it is heavy as hell!.....Also, TypeIII said it, it is alot harder to build on the 300zx, than say a 240....If you really want a 300, i dont even think you have a choice but to get the TT....thats just me though.
Peace:D

well my friends have been telling me to geta tt
i know that theres not much room to work
but this car i just like it
but if im going to do any mods. to my engine its will be at the end.
why "at the end" ...if your going to be building a car..do the motor and suspension first..then all the other shit..
You'll get a hell of a lot more respect that way

get the twin turbo man, it would cost too much to make the n/a Z reliably (unless money is no object to you). with the twin turbo u can toss in aroun $1,200-400 or so and hit high 12's lower with weight reduction, slicks, etc.
as for kits i would recomend bomex kit ($1,164) or veilside (bit more expensive but worth it). wings west i heard is ok but a pain in the ass to work on and have everything fit right.
the Z isnt that damn heavy IMO. it (turbo 3,517) only weighs about 100lbs more than the supra (3,415. if u wanna talk about heavy look at the vr-4 3kgt. that shit weighs like 3,800 or around there w/ the awd. and on top of that both the supra and vr-4 came out the dealers @12 psi (93 and up?) and the z only @9psi stock. thats what i think put the z at a bit of a disadvantage when the boost levels were upped on the other 2.
in the end, my thoughts are that the z is an all around good car. good power, good looks, hmm.....kinda reminds me of myself, lol, j/p. but seriously try for the Twin Turbo Z. the 240sx isnt worth it w/o the sr swap.
N E Wayz, good luck man, peace

later i will
but hey i think im getting a tt.
anyways how much extra power would i get if i changed my psi?

if your not gonna be racing much just get a cat-back and ecu. that should give you almost 370 hp @13psi. someone tell me if i'm wrong cause i forgot wether the JWT puts ur boost level that high exactly. or just an ecu, its all up to you. peace

The TT is a good car, my friend has one, but make sure it doesn't have hella high miles on it. Things start to go after a while and that is one of the most expensive cars to fix. But yeah, its got a ton more power than a NA.

thats much
hmm wats the price tag on it
hey wat mile should i look at
under 100 k?
and do u have to check the oil more since its a tt.
and the n/a z is like 225 hp and the tt is like 300 right?

well the JWT ecu is about $650 and adds an estimated 60hp.
try to look for anything under 60k miles if you can. i got mine for $17k ('93, 39k miles, auto). check the mufflers, oil, etc. because its a turbo car. basically just get it checked out by a mechanic just to make sure everything is running well and theres no leaks and what not.
heres a site that should help u with some solutions to normal prob.'s and basic information on the car, hope it helps, peace
