Yeah,

I did a dyno day a while back with some guys from the Ziliva website & boy did we have a blast. I'll try to make it to this one because I'm curious about what my car is doing right now since the last time.

P.S. I wonder if I've gain or lost some horsepower from the last time because I did it with my friends about two years ago.

Dean

I don't think I'll be able to go do the dyno run because I just remembered that I'm going with my friends to L.A. for that drift event.

P.S. I guess I won't ever know how much horse power I've gained from the last time I did a dyno day.

word good times, i won for lowest dyno like i thought woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

what u know about the 111hp ???

good day xcept the 4hour delay but it wasnt really a problem

Swift
12-18-2004, 10:05 PM
saw some nice cars and people today. only thing that sucked was i only had a thin windbreaker and was freezing. so who made the most power? if anybody heard 2 ricerockets flrying down the road at around 9 then that was me and 91ludesi haha.

Dean
12-18-2004, 10:15 PM
yeah, we heard you guys out there. Sorry for the delay, things just didnt go as planned. That integ pulled some pretty good numbers. :thumbup

Swift
12-18-2004, 10:35 PM
i was expecting more tq but its all good. that regal gets hella loud on WOT haha.

Dean
12-18-2004, 11:52 PM
Yeah, its a sleeper. So quiet when its just there, but when u stop the gas it opens up.

To bad these 3.8's dont sound too good, almost sound like an old 80's pickup or somthing. :lame: lmao. Still looking for a good muffler that will make it sound ok. Thinking About Getting A Borla One they sound better with this setup

How much TQ did you get in the teg? I have you runs on video (as well as the civic) I will host those up later when im not tired

Swift
12-19-2004, 12:13 AM
yeah thats one nice sleeper. id never expect that to run anywhere near low 13s if i ever saw it on the street. sweet i wanna see the vid. i made 148tq max. my old non-vtec motor made 171. BTW did that taurus sho dyno? i saw the s/c stickin up out the hood when it was leaving.

Dean
12-19-2004, 12:20 AM
No he was going to get tunned first, i wanted to see him dyno though. It would have been cool.

I think the V6 Mustang was the loudest car there, the turbo was so high pitch that everyone stood outside the shop becuase it was so loud. But in a good way.

WIKKEDSOL
12-19-2004, 01:13 AM
Haha. Yeah. I didn't think my car was that loud. The turbo started spoolin up and that sounded nice, then everyone's ears started ringing once my TIAL wastegate opened up. Everyone who was recording my dyno run inside backed out of the garage once it reached WOT. The Nova made the most power today @ 530rwhp I think. My car ran horribly and the #'s showed it. I made 217rwhp and 276rwtq with an average 9.9:1 AFR!!!! Talk about running super rich! I started off at 10:1 at 2500 rpms, then it dipped down to 9:1 after 4000 rpms! According to my friend's wideband a month ago, I was at 11.5:1 AFR so I don't know how my car was making such a rich mixture today. My graph shows lots of lean spikes too so my car was misfiring also. I would have made much better numbers if I had a better AFR. I was kind of bummed, but now I've got work to do on my car during winter break and I need a new tune. Then it's back on the dyno. The guy with the blown SHO and the guy with the silver Z06 waited around all day just to see my car go up on the dyno. Too bad they didn't even dyno their cars. Lots of people came to just kick it. All in all.... aside from the delay, running super rich, and misfires, I had a great time. This was my first dyno session. Everyone was cool and there were no haters. I'm definately up for another group dyno session in the future.

I have two exhaust manifold pipes converging into a single pipe right before the turbine inlet. Here is a picture.

This might help you understand, im still tired yesterday was a long day; it might not make sence, but hopefully it does

Heres a kit they make for the regal. (yes, the regal has a pretty big aftermarket.. lol)

Heres a picture of the side of a regal engine. When adding a turbo, you can either run both turbo/supercharger, or just turbo. Becuase of it being so hard to tune a supercharger/turbo setup most people just use a block off plate on the superchrager and use the housing for an intake manifold.

But if you add the turbo, you take off the cross over pipe, and attatch the turbo kit there, and also connect it after the rear header.

1) Connects to front exhaust manifold
2) Connects to rear manifold
3) Connects to throttle body

No intercooler for that kit?

No, but they sell kits for intercoolers.

This GM 3.8 can hold up to 19psi of non-intercooled boost on stock bottom end/internals it holds up really good to boost and even nitrous.

If you want to run even more they sell kits. The turbo kit there is like $2,500 and an intercooler kit can run around $900-$1,500 depending on the kit.
