OK I bought my Integra from a guy that claims he put a 1997 LS motor in my 92' teg, and a 96' tranny in it as well.

For the tranny I know it aint no dammed 96 because 96 came out in Hydro. This one is definately a Cable, I dont even a hydrolic resevoir.

The question with my engine is now. The guy that I bought it from said it was a 97' engine. So i figured with that engine and the 92 cable tranny, it was like puttin a fat lady in tight fuckin jeans.

I just noticed my block sayin B18A1, now if im not mistaked...isnt that a 90-93 Block? I thought a 97' motor is a like a B18B? Am i right that this dude fucked me, or am i wrong? I need help with the motor now. This is the problem that I am having!

When i start my car, it idles at 2100 in the morning. when it heats up it drops too about 1700 RPM. Whenever i drive it, then throw it in nuetral. The idle dips down too 750 (average) then goes back up too 1700. Then it will start doing it at red lights. It goes down too 750 then back up too 1700. When it reaches 1700 it drop back down too 750 and keeps doin it over and over. This is whats in the engine. MSD Ignition Box, and a MSD Blaster2 Coil. The dist. Cap is stock. The guy drilled a hole in it and threw the MSD Blaster2 Wire inside. The two wires that go into it are connected in the cap.

Everyone says that it is a ignition problem. Some say its a Throttle Position Sensor, or a Vacuum leak, or a Map Sensor.

I think its a Ignition problem. Should I put the ignition back too stock? What should I do, does anyone know what the problem is?

I need to fix it soon, someone let me know..Im a daily Driver! Thanks

90 to 93 2end gen integras came with b18a1's with 130hp and 3rd gens integ's came with b18b1's with 140hp. I don't think its a Ignition problem.may be a bad sensor or some sh*t like that. u should take it to a acura or honda tech and have them run systems check.

i agree with mugen that your car has a 90-93 motor in it. Your problem is definitely not an ignition problem just a sensor. what kind of code is the ecu throwing?? if you need more info hit me up ill try to help you out

dunno if it is ignition problem or not but maybe you are thinking too hard, it could be something simple, my car use to idle really high and kinda fluctuate, and the problem was the little spring where the throttle cable is attached to is dirty and rusted, i cleaned it and greased it up and now everything is fine

My car idles at like 2000 when the engine is cold, and when it heats up it dropes to 750(normal).....sometimes i get the rpm fluctuating too, but not very often.....I took it to a shop, and they fixed, but i dont know what they did....

And yes, the engine code is B18a....and yes, the 90-91 had 130hp, and the 92-93 had 140, except for the 92-93 GSR, which came with 160hp...

Peace:D
