Turbo DX

Does anyone here have a turbo on there dx. I have a dx, and will eventually turbo it but wanted to know how it has worked for everyone else? Its a 99 dx if that makes a differance.

i think they make a kit for one. it should work... But for how long.

Not to sound like a smart ass but if I was you, I would not even waste my time with the dx engine. It will maybe be pushing 150-160hp with a turbo which is not that much. Do what you want, but i'm just stating my opinion.

yeah with the money for a turbo i would just by a new engine. I dont think that engine would hold up too long with a turbo.

A DX engine depending what year is actually 92-95 DX -1.5- and a 96-up DX is a -1.6-

My engine is basically a DX engine. The head is a DX head, the bottom block is a 1.6, I bored it out too 1.8

But i was runnin the 1.6 Non-Vtec with Turbo for awhile...Since there was no Vtec in that car, it pulled really strong low-end, and the turbo took over the rest of the way once it spooled.

I would get a Turbo for your DX actually. If you got it set at 5PSI then you would be hittin 150-160 but since my shit is bored out too 1.8 SOHC, I am able too run a higher boost (11PSI) I could go more, but Its a daily Driver....ITs up too you though

I personally would build up that Engine....Think of it this way. Your engine is worth 300-500 dollars. You blow one up...buy another one...
