VW enthusiasts opinion needed

My current car is a complete write-off and im in need of a little advise on buying a new one. I want a car that is quick, fun to drive and handles extreamly well, so hondas are out of the picture :eek5:

I am thinking of buying another VW, they seem to be a solid choice. I want do some engine mods. these are the cars im looking into

1991 Corrado VR6
1998 Golf GTi VR6
1997 Golf GTi VR6

or anything else VW..

about a bmws? bmws are fun to mod and pretty quik stock...and handle great

corrados are just so cool looking, VWs get really bitchy when they get old though.

If I had to choose I'd pick the '97 GTI, it handled better than the '98
