So, if anyone has read my sig to see my current list of projects, they'll know why I need one, but the question is Does anyone have one, or know some one who does? Looking for the front axle and leaf springs from a 41-54 Chevy pickup, or a 48-56 Ford pick up, brakes are not needed, just want the axle, leafs, and spindles. I figure I'll get a better response for one in here rather than the buy and sell, since many people will have no idea what I'm talking about.
No idea on the straight axle. I hear theres a place in Oakland that still does the conversions, they may have a line on parts...... I know a guy thats delt with them, I dont see him often, but if I run across him Ill get you a name.....
Just out of curiousity...... what kind of shape is the 55 Buick in?

Not perfect, its an original CA car, I bought it for some parts for my 4dr, (bumper pieces) now I'm selling the rest, has some rust. It's about 95% complete. I have pics of it if you want. As for he axle, I'll look into that shop when I'm down in the bay, hoping I can get one cheap at the next P-town car show, or if I luck out, every once in a while they pop up at Pick-n-Pull.
Send me the pics.... and a bit more info... does it run?
