just wondering who goes to the import shows? basically the two big ones are import showoff and HIN. which one do you think is better? i think import showoff is going downhill everytime i go it seems to be getting worse. hot import is ok still i guess but not what it seems, just a grip load of ricers gawking over the models... i personally think international auto salon is the shit...

Shows have progressively gone down hill for a couple years now. That is the problem with the show scene, you can only do so much to be different. Racing will never die out, show will. I believe that is one reason why people get all the body kits, different tail lights and so forth. They just want their car to be different which is difficult when owning a Honda civic or actually any Honda. There are nice cars at shows and it's always cool to kick back a few duff's, BBQ, and watch the hoes pass by.

The shows have been down hill lately but all you see st the shows are young kids. Now these shows are targeted towards them and the veteran car guy will see as crapy because they have lived through the era and they know all there is to know about the scene.

true...i only go to shows now to keep up the whole scene.i try to reprezent since the first show i went to like 3-4 years ago. its also true that there are hella young kids there.but that might just bring us racers more "rice that watches" and "newer rice cooked".they should have an all race car show where all they can see are mods all motor cars, turbos eta... then ill be happy if kids go there cuz theyll be more into the actual race scene than just lookin at body kits n s**t. just muh .02 payce

If you are proud of NOPI i feel very sorry for you. But actually its a good representation of the east coast (3 years behind)

Hot import nights in jersey had some drag cars but I agree with you there should be shows with just race cars that would be better then all the cars with dvd and 4 12inch subs and so on

I have never been to a car show and never plan on going. The only reason I would even consider going is to look at the girls. The only show I would go to is the tokyo auto salon.

I'm with you. I've never been to one, and I doubt I'd ever go.

There's a few reasons:

1) I feel that the people who enter their cars didn't put their heart into the car. They just did what they did to get points and trophies. Granted, there are some people who really worked on their car, but there's the others. . . .

2) There's too many young punks!

3) The hoes won't go home with me, :(.

That's just my .02.

The shows are going downhill, but they are still tight.

Import Showcase sucked ass!!!

HIDaze should be tight up in the Bay this weekend.

Many of the shows are getting rid of the "street" category, which sucks ass. All they have is "super modified" or "really super modified". You know what I mean.

All the cars in thh shows these days are just trailer bitches.

Where are all the street cars at the shows. We need to start contacting the show promoters and change these shows.

Once you go to one...what's the point of going to others? You'll see the same stuff over and over. BTW, am i the only one who thinks LJ's civic looks quite fugly?

No, I agree with ya man, LJ's car is getting pretty insne. I hate this new trend of bucket seats in the rear.

Why not just take out the back seat and do a custom audio install back there.

Some of the shows are keeping it lively with bikini contests and such, but the cars are getting bad(especially at Import Showcase)

HIDayz was pretty tight, I have to admit. LJ's car looked good. He took out those damn buckets in the back and put in 3 20" subs. Its lookin pretty tight. You gotta give props to the man, LJ GARCIA!!!

Remember that LJ is also the Product Manager for Audiobahn. He does do a lot of work for his car. Do you have any idea how much work it is to get sponsorships, keep them happy and keep yourself happy. I DO! Its hard. Even if you are as high up as LJ is. Yes, he does get tons of shit for free, but that is his reward for his long years of hard work. He deserves all the recognition he gets.

Yes I know how hard it is to get sponsors, get off his nuts man! HKS sponsored his ass, did he go through with it? He got some cash and products....see any HKS shit on his ride? Its like he's too good for some shows. I overheard him telling a guy at SEMA, if you want me to show my car, it'll be $1000, trailer my car, get me a room, and I want best of show?! give me a break!
