I have a 97 A4 1.8t. I want to lower it, and exhaust, BOV, intercooler and what not. But I have some Questions that I hope someone can answer.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. What is the deal on BOV's for VW's and Audi 1.8t's? I hear its not possible or its not easy, because of the Bypass valve or the Maf censor? I want to know the details on how to get an HKS SSQ Bov on my car.

2. Now I want a pretty low ride hight. I am looking for a suspension that will give me about a 2.5 - 2 inch drop front and back. I have had bad luck with coilovers so please dont tell me to get them. Let me know who makes a nice set of springs or a lowering kit that will do the trick.

3. Camber kit? IF i lower my car do I need a camber kit? or is it Ajustable enough that I will have a straight alighnment and I wont have to deal with camber wear on the tires.

4. The exaust is another thing i am wanting. But I cant find a system I like. I think i found neuspeed and one or 2 others but thats it. Would it be the same if I just got a universal muffler that looks cool and got some bigger piping? Or should I just go and keep looking for a decent catback set up? I am looking for looks and sound out of an exhaust system, Im not really looking for too much for power.

I hope someone out there can help me... If not whatever I dont really care. I will just have to find somewhere else to help me out. Thanks Peeps. Late.

Thanks to Google, we have:

1.) http://www.audiforums.com/BOV's,_DV's_and_the_Audi_closed_loop_turbo_system%25/m_14128/tm.htm

2.) Lowering a car two and a half inches on a cheap set of "lowering springs" is asking for trouble. I hate to say it, but you're going to be best off buying a nice set of coilovers (not those $500 EBay Specials, something GOOD) and calling it a day. Lowering springs are *almost* the worst way to lower your car...it's a little better than cutting the stockers with a torch, but not by much.

3.) If you lower the car two and a half inches, you will need caster/camber plates. Crash bolts probably won't be enough. I'm not familiar with an Audi A4 in particular, but 2.5 inches is a LOT of drop.

4.) http://www.stratmosphere.com/milltek_a4_catback.htm
http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/apr_exhaust_a418t.html

Obviously, I can't vouch for any of these products, but I'm sure you can find reviews on one of the A4 message boards.

plz dont lower the a4, the oil pan sits very very low on that car, once u slam it... your pan will most likly get hit by big speed bumps.. *speaking from experience* if you do plz get nice set coilover like he said.

Well I went with some B&G springs w/ bilstien struts. Its not a big big drop, I didnt slam my car because I heard the same thing that you just said, about the oil pan. Thanks for the info man! Im glad I didnt go too low....

But Now I have a camber problem... i was checkin it out, and I dont see how to adjust the camber on this car.. So im guessing you cant... Can anyone help me out with that? I only did around a 1 1/2 in drop front and back...
