Well At some point in time in Northern CA On a street (sorry I want to keep some details blank for now, I am sure you'll understand) Anyways I see this newer model Z28 ahead and his exhaust is a roaring. It late and I havnt had a race all night so I decide to give this guy a shot. I get up beside him doing 60 in a 40 and look over, Honk, and point and no go. I am still in 3rd gear so I just hit the throttle and let off so he can maybe hear my Blow off Valve. I let off, it sounds then he decides to flyby. I thought he was going to "show his muscles" but he stays on. He is up about a car before I hit it. Turbo spools, and I start to catch up to him. I get to 4th and now traveling about 120mph and am reeling him in, when he shuts down. We get to a light and I get caught in a dilema of which gear to go in so I throw her in 2nd as the light changes (we wernt there yet and he took off) only to find my lane riddled with pot holes, so I have to let off, and get on it again, and redline 2nd at 8000, go to 3rd and start to pull him in again. At this point I get to his door and he slams on the brakes and cruises to the next turn. He goes left and I go right.
Well at this intersection is 2 cops in the left turn lane, and stopped even though the light is green for them. The one in the front makes a uturn, pulls into the shopping center, and get behind me. The other hits his lights as the z28 turns and pulls him over. The cop behind me sits there a few then in about 1/2 mile decides to pull me.
Cop comes to the window and Asks for my licence and asks me where I am comming from, here is the dialog:
Cop: Lic. and Reg. please.
Me: Ok (hands items over)
Cop: Was that you racing on ****** rd.
Me: No, why?
Cop: Did you see the 2 Camaros racing?
Me: I didnt see anybody racing
Cop:(Goes to the back of my car, looks and comes back) Sorry for the inconvienence Sir, We were looking for a Red Z28 (cop hands my my items back)(The other guy was not red, my car is)
I left, turned off the video and hit rewind, ready to record over the whole race if I got pulled again, man did I get the lucky straw on that one, I got pulled over no more than 15 seconds after the Z28 braked.
