i wouldn't buy a truck that has already been bagged or previously lowered, i'd buy one that's still sitting stock and have it done right at a reputable shop. i know personally that bags aren't that hard to do, but usually the home mechanic sucks at doing them right (i.e. connections, valves, tanks, etc.). and you have to remember that bags CAN blow (though they aren't supposed to), and if you're doin 80 down the freeway and one blows in the front, you're gonna be in deep shit, so have some other sort of suspension components that'll be there for backup. if you do buy a truck already bagged, take a long look at the undercarriage, you can tell a whole lot from what's under there. i would also recommend taking the truck to a custom truck shop to have them look over the suspension setup, frame, welds, etc. if it's done wrong, they'll laugh, if not, they can tell you whether it looks alright. you can find good trucks probably at http://www.gr8ride.com (Truckin' magazine sponsor) hope that helps a little bit, but if not, go ask the guys on the boards at http://www.sportruck.com , they have tons of info on truck setups and general info. late.

the size of the tank (most people have one) and how many compressors is up to you and how fast you want the truck to raise/lower. and don't get me wrong, airbags are 5X better than hydros, and give you a great riding vehicle...sometimes better than stock (or so i've heard a few say). i'd really recommend going to a custom TRUCK shop and sitting down with a customizer so he can tell you the pros and cons. usually they are very good about that and you'll get an idea of what kind of lowering job you really want done to your truck depending on how you drive it and what you're gonna do to it. it probably sounds like i hate bags, but that's just cause i can't afford em right now!*lol* late.

Why not get a new lightning? A white one with that billet grill would look better than any lowered chevy truck!
